CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- March 12th is the Arbor Day. In addition to planting trees by themselves, Chongqing citizens spent a special Arbor Day by means of an “Internet plus” public benefit activity. According to Ant Financial, Chongqing citizens have “planted” 206,000 trees on the Internet so far. Distributed in Alxa, Erdos, Bayannur and Wuwei, these trees have dressed our land with new green “clothes”.
“I’ve planted five trees, and I hope to plant trees in every corner of our country”
Ms. Yang, an employee of a media company in Chongqing, has planted five trees unconsciously since she took part in Ant Forest at the end of 2016. “Two trees were planted in Wuwei, one in Alxa, one in Erdos and one in the Yanghu Lake Protected Natural Area,” said Ms. Yang, zooming in the map from time to time to check the locations of her trees.
To collect the energy, Ms. Yang gets up at 7:00 every day, whether or not it is a work day. Some of her friends were motivated to join her. “I really want to see my trees. I even made a promise with my friends that if we may have the chance to visit Inner Mongolia, we must go to see my trees.”
